The August statistics are in for Broward and Palm Beach County. We have seen a continuous boom in sales during the pandemic. The numbers continue to trend upward, and this can be seen in the months’ supply of inventory. Homes are selling within 3-4 days of listing! In the Broward market single family homes outperformed townhomes and condos. There are several reasons as to why we could see this outperformance. During the pandemic, families realized that space (indoor and outdoor) were essential. With a lot of families working from home, space has played a huge factor in the decision to purchasing a home.
Meanwhile, for Palm Beach County, single family homes, condos and townhomes jointly saw an increase of sales. July sales were up 34% from June. Palm Beach itself saw a surge of home transactions in the luxury market which applies to both single family homes and condos. The strong demand in Palm Beach County, along with its limited supply of homes has continued to drive the price aggressively.
